Blockpit AG enters into partnership with TaxBit, which is expanding into Europe

On April 2nd, 2024, US-based TaxBit announced in a blog post that it is expanding to the European continent, where it will join forces with Austrian-based Blockpit.
So far, only a partnership has been announced. No acquisition, no stake. More details may be forthcoming on April 9th, 2024, when Blockpit and TaxBit will host a joint event at Paris Blockchain Week.
While Blockpit caters to individuals, TaxBit helps businesses and governments with ongoing crypto regulations.
The announcement also comes as Blockpit's former chief legal officer, Dr. Max Bernt becomes TaxBit's new managing director for Europe. Lindsey Argalas (TaxBit) and Florian Wimmer (Blockpit) will remain as CEOs of their respective companies.
While Blockpit raised its last funding round of 8,4 million euro (Series A) in July 2021, it acquired Cryptotax in 2020 and Accointing in November 2023. Whereas TaxBit had its last disclosed funding round of 130 million dollars (Series B) in August 2021, its last undisclosed funding round (Series B) in May 2022, and made its only acquisition to date, Tactic, in January 2023.
