Mecena officially launches banking for creators in Europe

Self-proclaimed "Banking for Creators" mecena has officially launched its services, starting in France (🇫🇷), Germany (🇩🇪), the Netherlands (🇳🇱) and Spain (🇪🇸) with an iOS app. Other countries have been announced for 2024, with an Android app planned for the end of 2023.
Mecena offers banking, an invoicing system with automatic payment recognition and reminders, and accounting functions. All of these services are tailored for the creator economy, which includes content platforms, memberships and donations, products and services, and sponsorships and collaborations. On its website, mecena claims that more than 100 creators are already using its services in beta.
When it comes to banking, mecena relies on BaaS (= Banking as a Service) platform Swan and partners with Choice Financial Group to insure creators' funds up to the usual 100.000,00 euro. With Swan, mecena also offers localised IBANs for its four markets.
In addition to its sophisticated invoicing features, mecena offers standard accounting categorisation with selectable accounting categories and VAT rates, live VAT calculation and a tax bucket - so you can save for that time of year.
To access most of the more advanced features, mecena charges 39,00 euro per month for its Pro plan. A more budget-friendly version called Growth - to get you started - costs 19,00 euro per month.
Mecena is available on the App Store and is accessible to creators - who are verified by providing a (successful) Instagram, Twitch or YouTube account.
