Austrian tax filing app Taxefy® back on track? A new update and a new partner tax advisory would make you think so
In October 2023, TaxTech News summarised the rather bad situation Taxefy found itself in. Since then, many changes have been made to enable Taxefy to resume the submission of its clients' tax returns:
In addition to updating its app, where customers have to accept new terms and conditions and go through new KYC processes, Taxefy is now partnering directly with a tax advisory to take over the submission of tax returns.
Behind the scenes, Taxefy's partner is the newly formed TAX APP TXFY tax advisory, which is owned by Vienna-based tax advisory FALCON | Tax | Audit | Advisory | CFO Rental. The new tax advisory is managed by Zoltán Gálffy, Brigitte Schörgenhumer and Andrea Haslinger.
Now, over 50.000 outstanding tax returns from last year's shutdown have to be submitted to catch up, while at the same time new customers are joining Taxefy. The Austrian Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors (KSW) may also have something to say again, but with Taxefy's partner tax advisory now in place, it may turn out to be just a few warm words of support.
