TaxTech Mix | Kontist releases Complete, CuratedAI's big update, Taxy.io improves AI bot, lexoffice renews receipt entry

Aside from new TaxTech startups, it's product updates that get us most excited at TaxTech News. Here we summarise the latest product updates released by some German and European TaxTechs:
After starting with Bookkeeping plan, Kontist expands its DIY tools for the German self-employed with the new Complete plan
As you can see on their pricing page, Kontist has added another plan to their digital range. In addition to their Bookkeeping plan, which includes basic bookkeeping and VAT filing, the Complete plan fills the gap in the ability to file annual business tax returns for the self-employed in Germany.
This plan includes the banking and bookkeeping that Kontist already offers and adds the ability to file annual profit and loss, VAT and trade tax returns. The only thing missing at the moment is the ability to file personal tax returns - although this can be done separately.
The plan costs 79,00 euro per month and offers an easy-to-use interface for the annual (tax) horror of the self-employed.
Improvements to CuratedAI - the AI assistant for European lawyers
While we had a very early look at CuratedAI in September, the team behind CuratedAI has not been resting. As announced last weekend, they have been working on some big improvements to their software:
Search and chat are now in the same place
Prompt suggestions are available
Prompting has been improved and intent detection added
Better search
Introduction of chat history
Improved interface
Most exciting of all is that, amongst other laws, European tax law will soon be added to the knowledge base. We will let you know when this is the case!
Update for Taxy.io Answers
As announced in their newsletter of 15 November 2023, Taxy.io has released a major update to their tax bot, which is accessible via a chat interface. It is now being called Otto Schmidt Answers - powered by Taxy.io. The following improvements were made:
Enabled follow-up questions
Optimised response time
Progressive answer generation
Expanded knowledge base for more comprehensive answers
Improved search functionality for multiple conversations
History of chats available
More information about Taxi.io Answers Beta can be found here.
Lexoffice improves receipt entry
As published by Alper Iseri, lexoffice seems to be rolling out Belegübersicht 2.0, their new receipt entry interface.
What is new?
Improved document processing
Improved receipt upload
Improved contact management
Improved transfer function
Improved AI booking assistant
